The intermedia that I will be focusing on for this week's project is the Digital World. Quite frankly this is a very vague subject, but don’t worry I will explain the interesting “medias” that I like to show my concepts in. Every day I dive into the Digital World to practice life. I do my school work, play video games with my friends, and even create virtual artwork. It plays a huge role in my life including creating works of art. The artwork could be programming, photoshop, and anything that you can think of. The three media choices that I am interested in is digital art (Photoshop/ Illustrator), programming, and Minecraft. I decided to go with digital art and here is why.

The first media that I would like to discuss is my concept in Photoshop and adobe art. I like to express my skill not just making artwork, but actually using it for company branding, advertisement posters, memes, and more. I like having the feeling that there are no limitations to what I can do or not. The artwork that I will be presenting today is Pickle Rick from Rick and Morty. You’re probably gonna guess that this was ripped off from Google Images and you’ll be wrong. I made this is in Photoshop and I used reference photos to make this. I made this into three layers, the bottom layer was the sketch, the second layers were the colors, and the last one was the black stroke outlines. It took me a couple of hours to make, but overall I am glad that it came out the way to be and it would be a lot more difficult if I had to program it or build it in Minecraft.

If I made this by programming, this would be an entirely different story implementing a whole different set of skills. If I chose this to make Pickle Rick, I would have made it entirely out of text from a keyboard and program each color to a key from the keyboard. If I made this in Minecraft, again an entirely different set of skills. I am an experienced builder and I am mainly familiar with constructing buildings and terraforming biomes. I would have made Pickle Rick in an 8-bit pixelated form if I chose Minecraft over the other two. Overall I am satisfied with my visual artwork and my choice but sometime in the future, I will try out the other two options!

I turned myself into a pickle Morty. I AM PICKLE RICKKKK. — (Comedic Genius, 2018) Artwork by Cameron Hay
